HotDocs 2015 (event artwork)

I was sought out in Fall 2014 to create the poster image for the 2015 HotDocs International Documentary Film festival in Toronto. Showcasing over 200 films and drawing an audience of nearly 200,000, HotDocs truly is a magnet for documentary buffs and filmgoers. With this illustration, I wanted to draw on the epical feeling of the festival and the way it entices folks from across the country. By blending a subtle propaganda style, with the silkscreen-look of majestic Toronto buildings, I wanted to create a piece that was engaging and told its own story.
